I needed protection for my new rug, (in case the cat had a rare accident & to keep fur off) & this transparent tarp is just the job! Its hardly noticeable, even the white edges aren’t a problem. Very easy to put down or remove & store. It may even reduce the fading effect of the sun, being reflective. It would also be great protection during parties to avoid stains from spillages. It could be secured with cords underneath from the edge holes if necessary. I currently also use these tarps to keep the rain off the dog & hen runs, tied securely against wind. The transparency (sheerness??) is excellent, like glass, but flexible. The photo shows shadows from the window plants.

Love this product. The plastic sheet really is clear and is good and thick. I bought it to protect my birds from the rain and cold winds. It is perfect. It really is see through so the bird’s run remains nice and light (this is unlike other “clear” tarpaulins I’ve bought). I would definitely recommend

Easy and flexible to put up round our pergola
Only additional need would be a taller tarp as our pergola is just over 7 ft high and the tarp is off the ground so I’m fitting a skirt around the bottom edge . I’m going to ask the suppliers if they can get taller ones of this quality which would fit more perfectly and keep out the cold winter winds of the decking
Cant fault the product at this early stage and hope to update during of after the winter
